OddCameras.com                         The Braun Paxette automatic III

The Braun Paxette automatic III was the last model of the rangefinder series. It was launched in 1958. To be automatic, they had to leave the M39 screw system and opted for a bayonet of their own. As they still kept the shutter behind the lens, the choice of lenses was limited. It has a rangefinder with a wider base and a selenium meter.

Seen from above with 35mm lens attached. As you can see on the aperture scale, a F1.9 lens was planned.
The meter still works fine. You have to turn eiter the speed or the aperture ring until the indicator meets the needle.
